Republic’s Taylor Swift spends a 14th nonconsecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50 as the year’s biggest album, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT, adds 141k to its total. For those keeping score—and we know that’s you—Swift’s chart-crushing set has racked up 5m+ in U.S. activity since its 4/19 release.
The week’s top debut goes to Ye & Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 2, which enters at #2 with 83k, ending Ye's streak of 11 consecutive #1 bows.
Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (Amusement/Island) rises to 62k, good for #4, followed by Charli xcx’s trendsetting BRAT (Atlantic) at #5. The latter album increased 37% (15k) due to the chart-topping remix of “Guess” featuring Billie Eilish, which arrived last week. Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (Darkroom/Interscope) moves down a spot to #6 but grows to 56k.
Warner’s Zach Bryan has three titles in the Top 20, led by his most recent effort, The Great American Bar Scene, at #7.
Streeting this week are releases by Columbia’s Polo G, Dirty Hit’s beabadoobee, Streamcut/RCA’s Latto, Capitol’s J Balvin, EMPIRE’s Asake, Parkwood/Columbia’s Chloe, Capitol Nashville’s Little Big Town and BMG’s Logic.
