ADELE READY TO 'MACH SHAU' IN MUNICH

UPDATE: Despite poor weather on the horizon, Adele will begin her 10-date residency at the bespoke Munich Masse today (8/2), paying off months of prep work by her world-class team.

No doubt buoyed by clips of the artist rehearsing there earlier this week, fans have already been lined up for hours outside the giant trade-fair center, which is expected to draw 740k over the course of the run.

Designed by Eurovision veteran Florian Wieder, the stage features a 300-foot catwalk and 650-foot semi-circular walkway. The video screen alone spans 220 meters in width and 30 meters in height—the biggest ever for a stage show in Europe.

Adding to the experience will be a pop-up pub in the style of classic English watering holes, a cover-band stage and vendors hawking specialty cocktails. Would you be so kind as to grab us a hoodie?

Approaching her 10-date Munich residency, which begins 8/2, Adele has launched Lucky Dip tickets—a very limited number of seats that will become available every Monday for that week’s shows.

Priced at a highly affordable €35, the ducats will be pulled from random locations throughout the massive Munich Masse ("anywhere from the back row to standing in front," said Ticketmaster). The first batch is on sale today (7/29) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adele, who's posted photos on social media of her touring the venue's grounds, will play through the end of August to a total audience of 740k.

The artist is represented by Jonathan DickinsSeptember Management and booked by Lucy Dickins, partner/global head of Contemporary Music and Touring at WME.
