LATEST SCORES: KENDRICK VS. DRAKE

It's been a week of lyrical ping-pong between two rap titans: Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Drake upped the ante Sunday night (5/5) with "The Heart Part 6" (OVO/Republic), his fourth installment in the seemingly never-ending war of words.

The ongoing beef between K. Dot and Drizzy is showing up on the DSPs, too; Kendrick's latest, "Not Like Us" (pgLang/Interscope), is currently #1 at Spotify U.S. and #2 global and #2 at Apple Music.

"euphoria," Kendrick's original response to Drake's "Push Ups" and "Taylor Made Freestyle," is #2 at Spotify U.S. and #3 global and maintains the top spot at Apple.

"Meet the Grahams," Kendrick's counter to Drake's "Family Matters," is #9 at Spotify U.S. and #19 global and #10 at Apple, while "Family Matters" is #6 at Spotify U.S. and #13 global and #3 at Apple.

We'll have to wait and see where "The Heart Part 6" ends up, but for now, it seems Drake is tired. As he hinted toward the end of the song, this might be the last time he responds—even if Kendrick does return with another record.

As he rapped, "I don’t wanna diss you anymore, this really got me second guessing [...] I give a fuck about your streamin' data/ You could drop a hundred more records, I'll see you later."

Will this truly be the end of it? We can't say for certain, but it's definitely Kendrick's move.

And the saga continues. Drake has returned with another Kendrick Lamar diss, which arrived Sunday night (5/5). Titled "The Heart Part 6" (OVO/Republic)—a nod to Kendrick's "The Heart" series—the track is as brutal as the last few, with Drake claiming all the information K. Dot received from the alleged "leak" in the OVO camp was a ruse.

“We plotted for a week and then we fed you the information,” Drake raps. “A daughter that’s 11 years old, I bet he takes it/ We thought about giving a fake name or a destination/ But you so thirsty, you not concerned with investigation.”

Drake announced the track via Instagram and, like the rest of us, is anticipating another round from Kendrick. As he wrote in the caption, "And we know you’re dropping 6 mins after so instead of posting my address you have a lot to address."

Listen to "The Heart Part 6" below while we continue to recover from the last one.

Kendrick Lamar has been relentless in his lyrical crusade against Drake. On Saturday (5/4), the Pulitzer Prize-winning MC dropped "Not Like Us" (pgLang/Interscope), his fourth diss in a week. The song follows "Meet the Grahams," Kendrick's swift response to Drake's "Family Matters" (OVO/Republic).

While Kendrick's original, six-minute verbal missile, "euphoria," remains at #1 on the Spotify U.S. and Apple Music charts, "Family Matters" is climbing; it currently sits at #5 on Spotify U.S. and #13 global, #3 at Apple Music and #2 at iTunes.

No matter how this beef ends (and we're wondering if it will end), the back-and-forth has shaken things up. Let's hope there's a peaceful resolution.

It was a late night for Kendrick Lamar and Drake, who fired off another round of diss tracks on Friday (5/3) as their lyrical battle wages on.

Mere hours after Kendrick unleashed "6:16 in LA," his second Drake diss in less than a week, the Toronto native returned fire with "Family Matters" (OVO/Republic). Clocking in at more than seven minutes, Drake berated Kendrick for dragging his son, Adonis, into their beef, rapping, "I’ve emptied the clip over friendlier jabs/ You mentioned my seed now deal with his dad/ I gotta go bad."

But Kendrick was clearly ready. As he suggested in "euphoria," his first Drake diss of the week and the #1 song at Spotify U.S. and Apple Music, he knew his current nemesis' next move.

Less than an hour after "Family Matters" dropped—37 minutes, to be exact—Kendrick uploaded "Meet the Grahams" (pgLang/Interscope) and proceeded to rip Drake apart one family member at a time. Not only did he apologize to Adonis for having to endure Drake as a dad, but he also addressed Drake's father, Dennis Graham, and mother, Sandra Graham, by name. The lyrics are undeniably brutal, with Kendrick telling Drake's parents at one point that their son "should die."

Rap fans are commenting furiously, and the consensus seems to be that "Meet the Grahams" was the final nail in the coffin. Whatever the case, both tracks require repeat listening and careful dissection to unearth their issues. Will Drake muster up another response? Or is this the end? We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, listen to both below as we continue to peel the proverbial onion.
