COACHELLA WEEKEND 2: THAT’S A WRAP

If you missed out on the desert dust and prime performances of Coachella's first weekend, don't fret—YouTube's got your back. In the meantime, here's a glimpse of the surprises that graced Weekend 2.

Should you need it, here’s a refresher on Weekend 1. No? Full steam ahead, then!

Friday saw Sabrina Carpenter team up with Norah Jones for a soulful rendition of "Don't Know Why," while Bizarrap and Young Miko joined forces for "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 58.” Eslabon Armado, Jasiel Nuñez and Ryan Castro lit up the stage with Peso Pluma, who welcomed Anitta for "Bellakeo." Capping off the night, Lana Del Rey invited labelmate Camila Cabello to her headlining set to perform the latter’s new single, “I LUV IT.”

Saturday’s highlights included Jungle’s funk-filled set, featuring a surprise appearance by Channel Tres. Blur may (or may not) have announced its final show, as the Britpop band’s frontman, Damon Albarn, declared that Weekend 2 would likely be its last time playing, then jumped into “Tender.” Headliner Tyler, the Creator brought out fellow Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt for a few tracks, including “Bastard” and “Wolf.” And on the other side of the fest, Dom Dolla wrapped up the night with Tove Lo, who performed an unreleased track the Aussie DJ teased on all four of his Coachella performances.

For the final day of Chella '24, Reneé Rapp was accompanied by Coco Jones on the Outdoor stage for their rendition of “Tummy Hurts.” Kid Cudi, a surprise addition on Weekend 2, greeted an overflow crowd at the Sahara tent, making it perhaps the most-attended set on that stage. Too bad it was cut short when he jumped off that stage while performing “Memories”—and broke his foot. J Balvin once again delivered a high-energy show, joined this time by Maria Becerra, Jowell & Randy and De La Ghetto. One of the best surprise guests on Weekend 2 was 50 Cent, who made an appearance during DJ Snake’s set, doing “Many Men,” “In da Club” and “P.I.M.P.” And concluding the weekend was Doja Cat, who brought out Teezo Touchdown to once again duet with her on "MASC."

That’s if for Coachella until next year, but guess who’s going to Stagecoach? Trot alongside us Friday as we head back to the desert for our final weekend. What awaits us there? We reckon a surprise or two. Watch this space for further Coach news.
