The freshly combined Interscope Capitol Labels Group hailed Coachella at a sun-drenched celebration in Palm Springs on Saturday (4/13); it was Interscope's eighth such desert shindig, though its first in the new configuration. Conspicuous in their gravitas, despite the very casual attire, were Interscope CEO John Janick, Interscope Capitol Labels Group COO Steve Berman, UMe President/CEO Bruce Resnikoff, UMG CFO/EVP Boyd Muir and CMG chief Tom March. Artists in attendance included Renée Rapp, Benny Blanco and KATSEYE.
The custom putting greens were pristine, the lunch was delectable and the conversations were robust. The rumored presence of a HITS correspondent was the only kind of irritant for which there is no over-the-counter salve.
Blanco and Janick are captured here conferring on their karaoke selections.
Resnikoff, Muir and ICLG CFO Geoff Harris note that tequila is, in its own way, hydrating.
Manager Adam Mersel, Berman, Rapp and Janick are seen wondering how to make a snow angel when it's hot as blazes out.
CMG Co-President Lillia Parsa, Janick, Berman and March are taking the "group" thing very seriously.
