PWM SYNCS UP WITH WILSON, KURCZABA & PIERCE

Primary Wave Music has tapped Julianne Wilson as senior director, creative sync, and upped Peter Kurczaba to senior director and Derek Pierce to director. All three will report to Global Sync President Marty Silverstone. Wilson will be based in the company’s New York office, while Kurczaba and Pierce will work from L.A.

Wilson joins Primary Wave after a decade as a music supervisor at companies like Walker and SixtyFour Music. She has found, licensed and produced music for brands such as Google, Nike, DoorDash, HBO Max, The Democratic National Committee, Old Spice and Volkswagen.

“I have been having a blast doing some digital crate-digging through the company’s extensive and eclectic catalog,” she commented before undertaking a remix of Larry Mestel’s dictated correspondence.

Kurczaba, meanwhile, has been with the company for eight years. Most recently, he held the title of director; he has secured syncs in such shows as Welcome to Wrexham and Abbott Elementary.

“Peter brings exceptional creativity and dedication to generating sync opportunities and likewise to re-imagining our catalog through cover and re-mix,” Silverstone noted.

Pierce joined PWM in 2020 as manager of sync and has found opportunities for its music in projects like The Bear and Rap Sh!t. Recent ad campaigns include Airbnb, American Express and T-Mobile.

“Derek consistently brings phenomenal energy and passion for all things sync to Primary Wave,” Silverstone said. “He’s a creative force for our team, our artists, and for our music supervision clients and deserving of this promotion.”
