STEM STRENGTHENS ROOTS

Music distribution and payments platform Stem has added two key new members; Nima Khalilian becomes the new head of International, Artist & Label Strategy, and Didi Purcell joins the Artist & Label Partnerships department. The pair brings a collective 10+ years of experience to their respective teams.

Prior to her tenure at Stem, Khalilian spent six years as Interscope’s senior director of international marketing. Meanwhile, Purcell, who worked at Interscope for three years overseeing pop and dance/electronic playlists, arrives from TikTok’s music distribution and artist services platform, SoundOn.

“Nima and Didi are powerful additions to the Stem team and reflect our commitment to consistently broadening our reach and capability. Nima is a globally respected executive with a rich understanding of the nuances of international artist marketing. Didi is a genuine artist advocate with a knack for discovery and development. We’re proud to welcome them both and look forward to their work with our incredible and expanding roster of artists and labels,” said Stem GM Seth Faber.

The addition of Khalilian and Purcell follows the promotion of Faber to GM, Todd Perry to VP of Artist & Label Relations, Hip-Hop & R&B, Natalie Sellers to senior director of Artist & Label Commerce & Partnerships and Lexi Roney as director of brand marketing.
