GLOBAL GAINS: BEYOND THE HOLIDAYS

With holiday music vacating the charts, let's take a look at the tracks that have emerged at the top of the DSPs as we step into 2024.

Tate McRae, "greedy" (RCA): The pop banger from McRae's Think Later returned to #1 on Spotify global on 12/27, sending Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" back into hibernation until next November. "greedy" is also ending the year at #1 at Pop radio, which it's held for the past three weeks.

Noah Kahan, "Stick Season" (Mercury/Republic): The title track off Kahan's breakthrough album reached a new peak of #2 on Spotify's U.S. chart on 12/27. Could it become Kahan's first Spotify U.S. #1? On the global chart, "Stick Season" soared to #12, it's highest position yet.

Xavi, "La Diabla" (Interscope): The latest signing from Interscope Miami boss Nir Seroussi has exploded in Mexico and the U.S. A 19-year-old Arizonan, Xavi appears to be the next big thing in música Mexicana, with "La Diabla" climbing to #4 globally. He has another cut, "La Victima," at #11. The former is #1 in Mexico, while both tracks are in the Top 25 in the U.S.

Peso Pluma f/Anitta, "BELLAKEO" (Double P/Prajin Parlay): The 2023 phenom is carrying his momentum into 2024—Pluma's reggaeton collab with Anitta entered the Top 10 globally for the first time on 12/27. It's Peso's highest-charting Double P release since the arrival of GÉNESIS.

Nicki Minaj, "FTCU" (Young Money/Republic): This standout track—and TikTok favorite—from Pink Friday 2 is holding strong at Apple Music (#2 U.S.) and attaining new peaks on Spotify's U.S. (#7) and global charts. Meanwhile, PF2 is also maintaining its position on the album chart, remaining in the Top 3 in its third week.
