EA GAMES IS LIT

EA Music boss Steve Schnur's lightsaber is fully lit over his team's big Grammy nom in the category of Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media—composers Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab were recognized for their work on the gaming giant's "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor."

Other EA nominees include "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II" and composer Sarah Schachner; "God of War: Ragnarök" and composer Bear McCreary; "Hogwarts: Legacy" and composers Peter Murray, J Scott Rakozy and Chuck E. Myers; and "Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical" and composers Jess Serro, Tripod and Austin Wintory.

Schnur has been instrumental in advancing the reach and ambition of music created for the gaming world. As president of music at EA Games, where he's been kicking ass and taking names since 2001, he's overseen the orchestration and production of 50 EA soundtrack albums, including scores for "The Sims," "Mass Effect," "Medal of Honor" and "Star Wars: Battlefront" with such composers as Mark Mothersbaugh, Michael Giacchino, Junkie XL, Steve Jablonsky and Hans Zimmer. He's also helped launch the careers of Robyn, Fall Out Boy, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, The Weeknd, Florence + The Machine and K’naaan.

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will take place 2/4 at Crypto.com Arena in L.A. If you need us, we'll be at the Mos Eisely Cantina.
