CITY PARKS FOUNDATION RAISES OVER $1.3M

New York’s City Parks Foundation held its annual fundraiser 9/28 at Central Park’s SummerStage, raising over $1.3m for free arts, sports and environmental education and community-building programs.

During the event, which featured special performances by Train and Tim McGraw, iHeartMedia Chief Programming Officer and President of National Programming Tom Poleman received the SummerStage Icon Award, while Devon Eisenberg, co-founder and principal of The Young Women's Leadership School of the Bronx, was honored with the People & Parks Award.

Said City Parks Foundation Chair Roland Merchant, “As we sit here under the tent at the iconic SummerStage festival, we honor Tom Poleman, who has supported the careers of countless artists and who has contributed immeasurably to our city’s cultural fabric, and innovative educator Devon Eisenberg, who has changed the course of thousands of young lives, training the next generation to contribute to civic life and especially to understand the role they can play as stewards of our environment,”
