PEOPLE PICK JELLY ROLL, WALLEN & WILSON

Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson (pictured) were the big winners at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards, handed out Thursday (9/28) at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Jelly Roll, who closed the show, which aired on NBC and streamed on Peacock, won the Male Artist, New Artist, Song and Collaboration Song trophies. Wilsons’ three wins were for Female Artist, Collaboration Song and Music Video. Wallen took home the big prize, People’s Artist, as well as Album and Concert Tour awards. Toby Keith was honored as Country Icon, and Wynonna received the statuette for Country Champion.

The show featured performances by, among others, Carly Pearce, Dan + Shay, HARDY, Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini.
