gamma.'s GLOBAL TEAM GROWS

gamma. has welcomed two industry veterans to its Africa and Middle East executive teams. Nigerian songwriter-artist Larry Gaaga joins as VP/GM of Africa, while UAE-born Lebanese artist-DJ Dany Neville takes on the role of VP, A&R, Middle East. Gaaga will be based in Lagos; Neville will report from Dubai.

“Larry and Dany’s extensive experience, deep understanding of the local music landscapes and relentless passion for nurturing talent are welcome additions to the gamma. family,” gamma. Co-founder/CEO Larry Jackson said. “Together, they will strengthen our market presence and drive significant growth across Africa and the Middle East.”

gamma. President, Africa & Middle East Sipho Dlamini offered, “An important component of gamma.’s mission is to nurture talent local to Africa and the Middle East into global superstars and open the territories for Western artists to reach new fans and opportunities. Both Larry and Dany have the historical background and cultural fluency critical to establishing the relationships and resources necessary for us to succeed.”

Gaaga comes from Def Jam Africa, where he served as vice president and led the label's A&R division. He'll oversee gamma.'s operations in Africa. Neville launched the Middle East's first urban radio show in 2000. Over the years, he's collaborated with Snoop Dogg, T-Pain and Kymani Marley, among others.

By the way, gamma. is not a label.
