D.C. POLS TUNE IN AM RADIO ACT

An act that would mandate AM radios in all automobiles was officially passed by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on Thursday morning (7/27).

It's now eligible for a full Senate vote. As of this week, the AM For Every Vehicle Act has 27 cosponsors in the Senate, more than half of the 51 votes the legislation would need to pass by simple majority. There is no voting date set yet for the act.

The House of Representatives has a corresponding bill that has 137 cosponsors, far beyond the 109 needed for a simple majority vote.

To celebrate, we set a radio knob in our 1969 Dodge Dart to 930 in the hopes of pulling in the Real Don Steele.
