Barbie and Oppenheimer helped push the U.S. box office over the $300m mark for only the fourth time in history.

Theaters grossed $311.25m over the weekend, a 122% spike over the previous weekend. The combination of the two new arrivals was responsible for $244.5m of the total.

  5. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny(Disney): $6.7m total; 2,885 screens/$2,314 average per screen (Week 4)
