Greta Van Fleet’s Dave Cobb-produced set Starcatcher (Republic) holds the top slot on the sales side. Barbie The Album (Atlantic/Warner/Mattel), which features new music from Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and 15 others, is #2 at iTunes and #13 at Apple Music.
Continuing on the sales side, Nas’ fifth album in three years, Magic 2 (Mass Appeal), is #3, followed by Blur’s first album in eight years, The Ballad of Darren (Warner) at #5. Masayoshi Soken’s Final Fantasy XVI score (Square Enix) is #6.
The debut album from Ashley Cooke, shot in the dark (Big Loud), pips up at #8, while Yellowcard’s Childhood Eyes EP (Equal Vision) stares down #9.
Will.i.am & Britney Spears’ “Mind Your Business” (Epic) is the top new arrival at iTunes songs, opening at #9.
A week ahead of its official release—and with just three songs available—Post Malone’s AUSTIN (Mercury/Republic) is the top new arrival at Apple Music, sitting at #11 in the early morning hours.
