Mercury/Republic's Noah Kahan released a deluxe version of 2022's Stick Season entitled Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever) last month. The album came with the single "Dial Drunk," which is now getting new life with the addition of a Post Malone verse. The updated track was released on Monday (7/17) and is currently sitting at #4 on Spotify's Top Songs USA daily chart and #49 on Top Songs Global.
Kahan seemed surprised by its success. As he noted in a press release, "The reaction to 'Dial Drunk' has been so incredible and so overwhelming. I never know when or why a song is going to land and to see the meaning and connection you have drawn from this track has inspired me in a way I have never been inspired before. You can only imagine my shock and excitement when Post told me he wanted to not only sing on it, but write his own verse.
"I have been listening to Post Malone since 'White Iverson' dropped, even covering 'Congratulations' right when my career was beginning. It feels like a full circle moment, and it has been a dream come true to make this collaboration happen."
Kahan is getting ready to embark on the Stick Season Tour, which kicks off on 7/23 at Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa and wraps up on 10/15 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. He'll then head overseas for a sold-out show in Berlin on 11/4. We'll be lucky if we make it off the couch. Check out Posty's verse on "Dial Drunk" below.
