FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

The National’s ninth album soars to the top of the iTunes album chart this Flipover Friday as nine new arrivals fill the Top 10, three of which are by country artists.

First Two Pages of Frankenstein (4AD) scares up the #1 slot for The National, who have a single, “The Alcott” f/Taylor Swift, opening at #2 at iTunes songs.

Country acts are making a strong showing, too. Kip Moore’s first album in three years, Damn Love (MCA Nashville), is #2; Nate Smith’s self-titled debut for Sony Nashville is #4 while his “World on Fire” from the Deluxe Edition has cracked the Top 15 at iTunes songs; and Cole Swindell’s Stereotype Broken (Warner Nashville) bursts in at #9.

Elsewhere, Crown the Empire’s DOGMA (Rise) hits #3 and Illenium’s self-titled fifth album (Warner) is appropriately #5. At #6 is Jack Harlow’s Jackman. (Generation Now/Atlantic), which is the top new arrival Apple Music, stepping in at #4.

Jessie Ware’s fifth album, That! Feels! Good! (Interscope), punctuates #7 and Bebe Rexha’s Bebe (Warner) makes a beeline for #10.

One other Top 10 new arrival at Apple Music is G Herbo’s Strictly 4 My Fans 2 (Machine Ent./150 Dream Team), which is #10 in the early morning hours.
