Drake’s latest single, “Search & Rescue” (OVO/Republic), tops the Biggest Movers list on the Shazam USA Top 100, but it’s a couple of syncs that have thumbs waggin’ on both sides of the Atlantic.
The placements of Peter, Paul & Mary’s 1963 version of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” (Warner) on Apple TV’s Ted Lasso and Hoobastank’s oft-synced 2004 “The Reason” (Island Def Jam) on Netflix’s Beef landed them prime spots on both Biggest Movers lists. An appearance on Starz’s PowerBook II: Ghost likewise puts 21 Savage’s “BETRAYED” (Epic), originally used in 2021's Gully, in the Biggest Movers tally.
Meanwhile, TikTok users have discovered Santana’s Grammy-winning “Maria Maria” (Sony Legacy) 23 years after it started a 10-week run at #1, giving it new life among the Shazam crowd.
