MUSIC MAKES IT RAIN FOR LVRN

To commemorate the significant investment made by his MUSIC firm in Atlanta's LVRN, co-founder/CEO Matt Pincus and team joined the troupe for this populous photo op. LVRN, as you know, has played a key role in the careers of such breakout acts as Summer Walker and 6LACK. Later, everyone collaborated on a bumpin' jam about the European bond market. Seen wondering what it would cost to make us go away are Pincus, LVRN co-founder/president Tunde Balogun, co-founder and President, MUSIC's Selena Garcia, LVRN co-founder and head of A&R Justice Baiden, EVP/GM Amber Grimes, co-founder and head of marketing Sean “Famoso” McNichol, co-founder and creative director Carlon Ramong, co-founder and head of operations Junia Abaidoo and MUSIC's Sun-Ui Yum.

LVRN is expected to use the newly invested funds to enlarge employee benefits and programs and to expand internationally. Bryan Gott and Mike Merriman of Parr3 LLC and Arnie Mendoza of MG Partners LLP advised LVRN; Aaron Rosenberg of Myman Greenspan served as legal counsel. Jordan Bromley and Chris Dayans at Manatt represented MUSIC in the transaction. Now, here come the quotes!

“At MUSIC, we invest with a people-first mindset," reads a quote form Pincus. "Junia, Justice, Tunde, Sean, and Carlon—along with Amber Grimes and the rest of the LVRN team, are among the finest executives in the music business. They have built a leading platform and culture at a time when independents are going to play an increasingly crucial role in breaking new artists. LVRN has limitless potential here in the U.S., and around the world. We are grateful for the opportunity to go on their journey with them."

"Matt is not simply an investor, but an entrepreneur through and through," added Tunde Balogun."Before founding MUSIC, he built his own independent music publishing company SONGS into one of the most successful and respected operations in our business. His hard-earned expertise make him a very valuable resource for LVRN and we are so fortunate to have him play a role in our continued expansion. This infusion of capital will empower us to continue to expand our operations globally and support local Black-founded businesses as we do so."
