(UPDATE) MILEYSTONES: "FLOWERS" IS A GIANT

(Update) Miley Cyrus has broken her own record after "Flowers" became the most-streamed song in a single week in Spotify history for a second consecutive week. The streaming giant shared the news via Twitter on Friday (1/27), making it official. "Flowers" marks the lead single from Endless Summer Vacation, Miley's forthcoming eighth studio album. The project is scheduled to arrive from Columbia on 3/10. We're already calling it—she's coming up roses.


We're not even a month into 2023, and Miley Cyrus has already set the stage for one of the biggest songs of the year. "Flowers" (Columbia) owns the streaming charts around the world, and Spotify has confirmed that the song's had the biggest single week of any track in the DSP's history.

"Flowers" opened at #1 on our U.S.-based Overall Song Streams chart with 40.4m on-demand audio plays. Globally, the song is ever bigger, with Spotify alone pulling in nearly 100m streams. Miley's bouquet also debuts at #1 on the Spotify charts in Canada, the U.K., Australia, Denmark, Iceland and other far-flung lands.

Downloads for "Flowers" have exceeded 75k, giving it one of the biggest first-week track-sales totals of the past several years. As regards song activity, look for this floral phenomenon to come in at 390k+.
