"FLOWERS" POWERS UP THE CHARTS (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Miley Cyrus scored her first global #1 on Spotify on 1/15 as "Flowers" (Columbia) soared to 11m streams—its biggest streaming number yet and a career best for Cyrus. In its opening weekend, "Flowers" reached #1 at Spotify U.S., Apple Music global, Apple Music U.S., iTunes and Amazon Music and as of 1/17 continues to hold the top slot on all five.

Miley Cyrus achieved the biggest song launch of her career 1/13 with her Columbia debut, “Flowers.”

Cyrus was inked to Columbia by Chairman/CEO Ron Perry in 2021. Her latest chapter also includes a new management team, guided by Crush's Jonathan Daniel and Cyrus' mom, Tish Cyrus.

"Flowers," the lead single from Cyrus' eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation, is a collaboration with Harry Styles hitmakers Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson. The song opened at #3 on Spotify global with 7.7m streams. It's currently the top pop song at Apple Music, at which it climbed to #2 worldwide and #3 in the U.S. behind a surge of streams heading into the weekend. "Flowers" topped iTunes and is #2 trending on YouTube.

It's a huge moment for the multi-hyphenate superstar and her team, who quietly worked on Cyrus' next era throughout 2022, then kicked off the year and album campaign via her second New Year’s Eve special on NBC alongside her godmother, Dolly Parton.

What’s next for Team Cyrus? “Flowers” is scoring major adds at Pop radio ahead of the 3/10 album drop, with streams continuing to grow. Rumors Perry wore a flower crown to the office all week couldn’t be confirmed at press time.
