RCA BREAKTHROUGHS FEEL GRAMMY LOVE

Grammy nominators took note of RCA’s three breakthrough stars of 2022, making Doja Cat one of the year’s most-nominated artists, rewarding Steve Lacy in two of the Big 4 categories and honoring Latto with a Best New Artist nod.

Doja Cat, whose Planet Her spawned five #1 Pop radio hits, secured Record of the Year, Pop Solo and Music Video noms for “Woman”; her collab with Post Malone, “I Like You (A Happier Song),” is up for Pop Duo/Group Performance; and her contribution to the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann's ELVIS, the Pop chart-topping “Vegas,” is up for Rap Performance.

Lacy’s worldwide DSP chart-topper, “Bad Habit,” which also hit #1 at Pop radio, is up for Record and Song of the Year in addition to Pop Solo Performance.

Atlanta rapper Latto, who's released two LPs since signing with RCA in 2020, Queen of da Souf and 777, and hit #1 at Top 40 with “Big Energy,” secured two noms: Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance.

Last year’s Grammy star from Peter Edge’s roster, H.E.R., finds herself back on the noms list for collaborative work; she produced Mary J. Blige’s “Good Morning Gorgeous” and would share in ROTY or AOTY wins, and her featured vocal with KAYTRANADA on “Intimidated” has her up for a Dance Performance trophy.
