INTERSCOPE'S MORALE BOOST

John Janick's Interscope team had a good week; Kendrick Lamar netted a whopping eight Grammy noms for his work on Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers (TDE/Interscope/Aftermath/pgLang), including three in The Big Four: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Billie Eilish, already a seven-time Grammy winner, was nominated in the Best Music Film category for the Sam Wrench-directed Live at the O2 (Darkroom/ Interscope), while BTS reeled in a Best Music Video nod for "Yet To Come" from the K-pop sensation's Proof album.

Rising rap star GloRilla received a Best Rap Performance look for the viral TikTok smash "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" with HitKidd, a promising start to the Memphis native's career.

Other Interscope Grammy nominees include Jacob Collier, Lady Gaga and Machine Gun Kelly in addition to the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack's landing in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media competition and Interscope Reimagined's contending in Best Box or Special or Limited-Edition Package.

But the question remains: Will anyone be able to beat King Kendrick or will the Recording Academy let everyone get a piece of the proverbial pie? We'll find out in February. In the meantime, we're just hoping not to get shunned at the after-parties (again).
