MIKE DEAN & APEX MARTIN LAUNCH NEW LABEL

Decorated producers Mike Dean (Lana Del Rey, Ye, Beyoncé, The Weeknd) and Apex Martin (Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy) have announced their new label, Apex Sound, and first signing, SASH.

To commemorate the occasion, the imprint has released SASH's first single, "Lemon Sorbet," a tangy introduction to his debut EP, Bittersweet. The six-track project is expected to arrive on 12/2.

Hailing from New York City, SASH combines a Travis Scott-esque delivery with what he's christened "Music-Noir."

"Apex kept telling me, 'Check this artist; check that artist," Dean said between bong hits. "Some are doing well, so I decided to follow his instincts with SASH. I believe we have a winning team."

Martin added, "After seeing SASH's first music video, for ‘Rondo,’ in 2017, I had a gut feeling I needed to work with him. We connected through a mutual friend. Since then we’ve become friends through working on music together. We’re on a wave right now. The sonics are the best they’ve ever been.”
