MIGOS' TAKEOFF KILLED IN SHOOTING

Migos member Takeoff was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston early Tuesday morning. He was 28.

TMZ reported, and Houston Police confirmed, that Takeoff and his bandmate Quavo were at a private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling playing dice when, at around 2:30am, someone opened fire.

About 40 people were at the party. Two others were shot and taken to the hospital. Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene. A Migos rep confirmed his death to the Associated Press.

A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Takeoff (real name Kirshnik Khari Ball) started rapping with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset (who was also at the scene of the shooting) in 2008 under the name Polo Club. After changing their name to Migos, they released their debut mixtape, Juug Season, in 2011. The trio’s hits include “Versace,” “Bad and Boujee” with Lil Uzi Vert, “MotorSport” with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B and “Walk It Talk It” with Drake.

Takeoff released one solo album—2018’s The Last Rocket, which debuted at #4. Last month, Quavo and Takeoff—as Unc & Phew—released Only Built for Infinity Links.
