EMPIRE has announced four promotions on its marketing team, led by Teff Mogus' elevation to VP of marketing. Ari Simon, Dionna Johnson and Jentry Salvatore were all promoted to director of marketing.
In his new role, Mogus will continue to lead campaigns for acts like Jackboy, Adam Blackstone and BLK ODYSSY. Prior to joining EMPIRE in 2017, he worked with Snoop Dogg at Cashmere Agency and Stampede Management while also working as executive director for Bay Area nonprofit the Mural Music & Arts Project.
Simon, who joined the team in 2014, most recently guided the rise of Babyface Ray and rapper Larry June, who just appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk, as well as developing acts Babytron and Rexx Life Raj. Arriving at EMPIRE in 2019 from Capitol Records, Johnson has overseen breakthrough acts Bleu and Fireboy DML. L.A. native Salvatore works with Grammy-nominated D Smoke, G Perico and RJmrLA, among others.
“I’m thrilled to elevate key members of our marketing team,” said EMPIRE SVP of Marketing Peter Kadin. “As EMPIRE has grown as a global company, Ari, Dionna, Jentry and Teff have been focused on taking our artists to the next level. We are hella pumped for some hyphy campaigns."
