HIT-BOY, FAUNTLEROY GO APE FOR KINGSHIP

Producer-songwriters Hit-Boy and James Fauntleroy, whose credits include hits for Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Rihanna, have joined the team behind the NFT group KINGSHIP as co-executive producers, overseeing the evolution of the act's music direction and sound.

They will work with Arnell, the group’s DJ and producer. The label behind KINGSHIP, 10:22PM, recently afforded a glimpse of its musical direction in a 30-second clip for the song “Rider" (below).

One of the music industry’s most sought-after creators, the California-bred Hit-Boy (Chauncey Hollis) has three Grammys and has produced hits for Jay-Z, Ye, Kendrick Lamar and others. Four-time Grammy winner Fauntleroy is best known for co-writing seven songs on Mars’ 24K Magic and has worked on tracks for Chris Brown, BTS, John Legend and others.

“I’m always looking to push things forward musically,” said Hit-Boy, “and this is a great opportunity to do something new in the Web3 space.”

Fauntleroy, who has a background in 3D modeling, web design and coding, added, “As a huge nerd and music fanatic, I can’t wait to see what comes from the intersection of Web3 creatives and the entertainment community.”

Said 10:22PM chief Celine Joshua, “KINGSHIP’s journey is rooted in storytelling, experiences and music. I’m incredibly thankful that Hit-Boy and James Fauntleroy, two of the most influential and creative figure in the industry, are coming together to develop the music and sound for KINGSHIP. Now I can get back to sorting M&Ms.”
