U.K. CHARTS: 6TH #1 FOR KASABIAN

Columbia’s Kasabian has claimed its sixth U.K. Official Albums #1, while dance tracks rule the Top 5 at singles.

Kasabian’s The Alchemist’s Euphoria outsold its closest competition—Harry Styles’ Harry’s House—by 2:1 and gave Columbia a one-two punch at the top of the chart.

The second-highest new entry comes from Pale Waves’ third set, Unwanted (Dirty Hit), at #4.

Buoyed by the biopic Elvis, Elvis Presley’s ELV1S–30 Number 1 Hits (Sony) is back in the Top 10 for the first time since January 2003, coming in at #7.

Coldplay’s 2021 Music of the Spheres (Parlophone) has jumped an impressive 133 places to #23 as the group brings its tour of the same name to the U.K.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, for the first time in six years four of the five songs in the Top 5 are dance tracks. LF System’s “Afraid To Feel” (Warner Records) leads the way for a seventh consecutive week, raking in 5.2m streams. Eliza Rose’s “B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)” (Rosebud) is up eight places to #2, and David Guetta, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson break into the Top 5 with “Crazy What Love Can Do” (Warner Music U.K.), at #5.

OneRepublic’s “I Ain’t Worried” (Interscope) is up three places to #6. DJ James Hype and Miggy Dela Rosa rise eight to #9 with “Ferrari” (Universal). Calvin Harris, Justin Timberlake, Halsey and Pharrell Williams’ collab, “Stay With Me” (Sony), is up three to #10.
