It’s an all-new Top 10 at iTunes this Flipover Friday, but everyone’s falling in line behind the lady on the horse; Beyoncé's seventh Parkwood/Columbia solo album is ruling the sales and streaming charts, with five songs in Apple Music’s Top 20.
RENAISSANCE has assumed the #1 slot at iTunes and Apple Music albums, while “I'M THAT GIRL” has moved ahead of “BREAK MY SOUL” at Apple Music songs. “COZY,” “ALIEN SUPERSTAR” and “CUFF IT” are also in the Top 20.
Back at iTunes albums, Whiskey Myers' Tornillo (Wiggy Thump/Thirty Tigers/The Orchard) pours in at #2, with Maggie Rogers’ Surrender (Debay Sounds/Capitol) docking at #3 and Dance Gavin Dance’s Jackpot Juicer (Rise) stepping in at #4.
$uicideboy$’s Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation (G59) is the only other album besides Queen Bey's to show up on both charts: It’s #5 in sales and #15 on the streaming side.
Matt Nathanson’s Boston Accent (Acrobat) “pawks” at #6; the third edition of the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s I am the Moon series, The Fall (Swamp Family/Fantasy), rises to #7. Rounding out the Top 10 are ATEEZ’s The World EP 1: Movement (KQ), Ronnie Dunn’s 100 Proof Neon (LWR) and Hayley Kiyoko’s Panorama (Empire/Atlantic), while new titles from Amanda Shires, Mat & Savanna Shaw, The Movement and King Princess are just outside the Top 10.
Returning to Apple Music, Rod Wave’s Beautiful Mind (Alamo/Columbia) is #7 two weeks ahead of its full release with just three tracks in the marketplace.
