PEPPERS' CANTEEN RUNNETH OVER

Warner’s Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced that their new studio set, Return of the Dream Canteen, will come out on 10/14.

Dream Canteen is, like platinum predecessor Unlimited Love (which dropped in April), a double album produced by Rick Rubin; the full-length “is everything we are and ever dreamed of being,” according to a note from the band. “It’s packed. Made with the blood of our hearts.” The single, they added, will be "Tippa My Tongue."

The quartet shared the title and release date with fans during their sold-out show at Denver’s Empower Field, the first North American date of their global stadium tour; their sold-out European trek kicked off in Spain on 6/4 and just concluded. The current circuit is the first RHCP road odyssey with guitarist John Frusciante in 15 years.

The North American leg of the tour will wrap at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, on 9/18. The Peppers will variously be joined on the bills by such acts as HAIM, Beck, Thundercat, The Strokes, King Princess, St. Vincent and Post Malone.
