BST HYDE PARK: BIGGER THAN EVER

While the U.S. celebrates independence Day, the U.K. will be focused on Adele, who gives her first U.K. performances since 2017 at AEG PresentsBST (British Summer Time) Hyde Park festival Friday and Saturday night.

Adele long ago sold out both of her 65k-capacity shows at the nine-show Hyde Park fest, which has so far presented sold-out bills headlined by Elton John, The Rolling Stones and the Eagles/Robert Plant & Alison Krauss.

An all-female lineup will precede Adele’s performance. Without specifying who's playing which day, Adele announced that the bill will feature Kacey Musgraves, Gabrielle, Mahalia, Self Esteem, Nilüfer Yanya, Tiana Major9, Chrissi, Bonnie Kemplay, Ruti and Tamzene.

The Stones return to Hyde Park for a second night on Sunday with Sam Fender, Courtney Barnett and others. The third and final weekend features Pearl Jam, headlining 7/8-9, and Duran Duran, closing things out 7/10.

After two years of COVID-driven cancellation, this is the first time BST Hyde Park has expanded to nine shows (from six), and AEG has expanded the lineups, which has resulted in stronger ticket sales across the board. More than half a million people will have attended BST Hyde Park shows when all is said and done.
