WU-TANG AT 25

Get on Down and Sony’s Legacy Recordings are rolling out a 25th anniversary celebration of Wu-Tang Clan’s double-disc opus Wu-Tang Forever with an expanded edition of the album, videos, games and more. The original splashed down 6/3/97.

The anniversary edition of Wu-Tang Forever includes the album and a lyric booklet, a silver 7-inch single of "Triumph" b/w "Heaterz" in a picture sleeve and a reissue of the double cassette in a slip case. The group will also release three digital EPs—Reunited – The Remixes, It’s Yourz and Triumph—featuring previously out-of-print Forever-era remixes, edits, instrumentals and un-archived original single cover art.

In addition, Wu-Tang has shared the first episode of an upcoming series of video interviews from 1997 conducted on the set of the “Triumph” video shoot (see below).

The 10-member outfit has likewise launched a Forever & Ever giveaway that will issue gamified newsletters over the four weeks leading up to the anniversary of Wu-Tang Forever. Fans can subscribe to unveil a “journey map,” which will unfold over a sequence of social actions they must complete to win concert tickets, merch and vinyl.
