FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES & APPLE MUSIC

Lauren Spencer-Smith’s first single since signing her Island/Republic deal tops the iTunes songs chart, while a new one from Morgan Wallen is among a collection of rookie country titles on this pre-Easter/Passover Flipover Friday.

Spencer-Smith’s “Flowers” (Three Name/Island/Republic) blossoms at #1 on the sales side and is already Top 15 at Apple Music.

At #7 on iTunes songs is Wallen’s “Don’t Think Jesus” (Big Loud/Republic), a tune he teased on TikTok back in October. Meanwhile, four new arrivals from country artists populate the iTunes albums Top 10.

Sex, Drugs and Country Music (Pepper Hill/Thirty Tigers) from porn-oriented satirist Wheeler Walker Jr., is #1; Brandon Davis’ debut full-length, Hearts Don’t Rust (Big Yellow Dog), pumps in at #6; Mitchell Tenpenny’s The Low Light Sessions (Riser House/Columbia Nashville) illuminates #7; and Hank Ruff’s Hellbender (Ruff) elbows in at #8.

Elsewhere, a 40th anniversary edition of Rush’s Moving Pictures (UMe/Mercury/Anthem) progresses to #3; Jewel’s Freewheelin’ Woman (Words Matter) jingle-jangles to #5; and Kurt Vile’s first album for Verve, (watch my moves), steps in at #10.
