IRVING'S OVG ROLLS INTO LAS VEGAS

Oak View Group plans to build a 20,000-seat arena and an amphitheater in Las Vegas as part of a casino and hotel in a newly planned entertainment district. Groundbreaking and construction for the $3b project are scheduled for 2023.

With a focus on technology, sustainability and green initiatives, the facilities are expected to create thousands of jobs for the surrounding community. The 25-acre site is near the intersection of I-15 and I-215.

“South of the Las Vegas strip represents one of the few areas of potential future growth of the gaming and entertainment corridor,” said Tim Leiweke, CEO of Oak View Group. “This unprecedented project is an industry game-changer. We will usher in the evolution of Las Vegas as the new entertainment and sports capital of the world.”

Marc Badain, former president of the Las Vegas Raiders, has partnered with OVG to collaborate on the new project. OVG President of Business Development Francesca Bodie will oversee business transactions and operations. Steve Collins, OVG President of Global Venue Development and Special Projects, will lead development with the design firm Gensler and Populous.

“It doesn’t get much bigger or better than Las Vegas,” said Oak View co-founder Irving Azoff. “Joining the world-class Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, UBS Arena in New York and Moody Center in Austin, Las Vegas will be the next jewel in the OVG crown.”
