U.K. MIDWEEKS: DON BROCO'S AMAZING ADVENTURE

Bedford band Don Broco could secure its first U.K. Official Albums #1 on Friday following the physical release of fourth set Amazing Things (Sharptone). Over on singles, it looks like another week at the top for Encanto.

Amazing Things arrived digitally in October. It didn’t reach the Top 40, but its release on vinyl, CD and cassette could secure its place at the top this week.

Liverpool singer/songwriter Jamie Webster could score a career best Friday with his second album, Moments (Modern Sky), starting at #2.

Jethro Tull is heading for its first U.K. Top 10 since 1972 with its first new material since 1999, The Zealot Gene (Century Media), eyeing an entry at #4.

Three further new entries could chart in the Top 10: Welsh band Scarlet Rebels See Through Blue (Earache) is #6; Cult Leader Tactics (Snapper Music) from former Mansun frontman Paul Draper is #8; and Big Big Train’s self-released Welcome to the Planet orbits #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) from Encanto is currently on track to claim a third week at #1.

Gayle’s “abcdefu” (Atlantic) is #2, followed by Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran’s “Peru” (Island) at #3.

Encanto could land three tracks in Friday’s Top 10, with “Surface Pressure” by Jessica Darrow at #4 and “The Family Madrigal” f/Stephanie Beatriz and Olga Merediz looking to jump six places to #5.

Irish DJ collective Belters Only may claim its first Top 10, with “Make Me Feel Good” f/Jazzy (Polydor) at #8, succeeded by Australian DJ Luude with “Down Under” f/Colin Hay (Sweat It Out), a reworking of the 1981 song by Hay's Men at Work, flying seven to #9.
