iHeartMedia will celebrate Black History Month with a 28-day on-air celebration culminating in a special event featuring performances by Big Sean, H.E.R., Moneybagg Yo, Ari Lennox and others.
2/23's iHeartRadio Living Black! at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles will pay homage to Black culture, also boasting appearances by J. Cole, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Saweetie and Bas. It will stream exclusively on TikTok—it’s the first collaboration between iHeart and TikTok—and be broadcast on iHeartMedia hip-hop and R&B stations and the iHeartRadio app.
“We are thrilled to once again honor Black History Month and Black culture through ongoing and informative discussions about race and some very special performances during this year’s iHeartRadio Living Black!,” said Doc Wynter, President of Hip Hop and R&B Programming for iHeartMedia. “We can’t think of a better way to spotlight our community than by partnering with these incredible artists and trailblazers as we celebrate together the impact that Black lives have on American culture.”
Rikki Hughes of Magic Lemonade is producing the event, which will be available on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages beginning 2/24. iHeartRadio Living Black! is an initiative of AT&T's Dream in Black, an "always-on platform where AT&T celebrates the culture and the creators who shape it."
