TAG, THEY'RE IT! SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

Shazam users on holiday break are keeping their phones handy while they watch TV and movies, reviving a handful of older tracks.

Yellowstone, which has been doing wonders for country and Americana acts, gins up interest in Jason Isbell’s 2013 track “Cover Me Up” (Southeastern) this week, making it the greatest gainer in the States.

De La Soul's “The Magic Number,” which Tommy Boy released in 1989 and is still not available on streaming services, zips up the Shazam USA Top 100 after being used in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Timbaland’s remix of Jacob Banks’ 2018 recording “Unknown (to You)” (Darkroom/Interscope) rises in popularity after a synch in Power Book II: Ghost.

The U.S. has caught the buzz generated globally by Nektunez’ remix of “Ameno Amapiano” by Nigerian act Goya Menor. The UEFA Champions League recently used the track, already huge in various African countries, on its Tik Tok account.

In the U.K., an "oldie" from FKA Twigs, 2014's “Two Weeks,” leads the way.
