Republic has tapped Meg Harkins as SVP of Marketing. The announcement was made by freshly minted Co-President Jim Roppo.
Harkins began her tenure at the label as a consultant in 2019, demonstrating international flair with her leadership of projects by TWICE, (G)I-DLE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Daddy Yankee, Swedish House Mafia and Jack Johnson. She’ll carry on orchestrating campaigns for these and other acts while dodging calls from us.
“Meg is the rare marketing executive whose passion for music and drive align perfectly,” said Roppo. “She brings an immense level of excitement to every project, encouraging the same enthusiasm from the team at large. She’s galvanized the label’s expansion into both K-pop and Latin. We’re honored to officially welcome her to the Republic Records family.”
“Republic upholds an amazing tradition of excellence,” reads Harkins’ quote. “It’s driven by striving creative minds who consistently break music. For me, this isn’t just about a song or album cycle; these artists are entrusting their creative lives to us. I respect that, and I love being a part of artist teams' reaching their goals.”
Before her arrival at the House of Lipman, Harkins was SVP of Marketing at Roc Nation. She’s also held executive marketing posts at Blue Note and Capitol. Her philanthropic energy is largely concentrated in her role as a board member for nonprofit Extreme Kids & Crew, which provides a welcoming space for young people with disabilities and those closest to them to socialize and play.
