UMG'S RHYTHM METHOD

Digital therapeutics company MedRhythms has struck a first-of-its-kind partnership with Universal Music Group that opens the catalog to prescriptions. Take two club bangers and call me in the morning.

MedRhythms’ platform is based on neuroscience that demonstrates how music can effect the human brain, targeting specific neural circuitry to enhance clinical outcomes and boost neuroplasticity.

MedRhythms and UMG are the first companies to introduce an FDA-approved, prescription-music apparatus. The former is developing a patented platform of evidence-based, prescription digital therapeutics using music to address walking impairments.

UMG’s partnership with MedRhythms began as a collaboration between UMG for Brands, UMG’s global brands-partnership team, and Havas Health.

Said Michael Nash, UMG EVP of Digital Strategy, “Our innovative collaboration with MedRhythms will enable UMG to help enhance neurologic treatment for patients across the U.S. We’ve played a central role in promoting music’s growing importance throughout the health and wellness industry—fitness, sleep, meditation—and in this pioneering alliance, we’re privileged to be engaged in extending music’s profound impact to medical therapy.”

In addition to enabling MedRhythms to deliver prescription music to patients, UMG for Brands will provide it with resources and insights related to data analytics, cultural intelligence and marketing.

CVS was wondering why there was a rush on “Doctor My Eyes” and “Bad Case of Loving You.”
