MADAJ DASHES TO DIGITAL HEAD AT WCM

Warner Chappell Music has announced that Natalie Madaj will become the company’s new SVP, Global Digital. She steps in for Warner Chappell’s EVP, Global Digital Strategy, Eric Mackay, who is exiting the company. Madaj will officially start in her new role in early 2022, with Mackay staying on in the interim to assist with the transition.

Madaj joined Warner Chappell in 2018 as VP, Digital Licensing, North America, and was promoted to her current role, SVP, Digital Licensing, Americas, in January. Under her leadership, the company has renewed deals with current partners and inked new agreements with Equinox, Peloton, Snap and TikTok. Rumors that Madaj has launched multiple dance challenges on the latter platform could not be confirmed.

Warner Chappell Music Co-Chair and CEO Guy Moot and Co-Chair and COO Carianne Marshall, who often unnerve their underlings by speaking in unison, offered this tandem quote: “Natalie has an incredible eye for identifying trends and has spent the last few years finding creative ways to integrate our writers' songs into exciting new technologies. A strong leader and savvy dealmaker, she will continue to be critical to our success.”

Madaj is said to have an app on her phone that causes all calls from HITS to be dropped.
