Ed Sheeran and Måneskin lead TikTok’s U.K. summer hits list of 2021 while Parlophone-signed new act PinkPantheress claims the top breakout track.
Sheeran’s “Bad Habits” (Atlantic) was the #1 song by a U.K. artist according to video creations on TikTok for the period 6/21 through 8/10. At the end of June, Sheeran broke the record for TikTok’s biggest ever live music performance with 5.5m unique viewers for his appearance on the UEFA Euro 2020 show. KSI’s “Holiday” (BMG) took second place on the U.K. artist list.
Måneskin’s “Beggin” (RCA) had 354k video creations across the summer to claim the #1 most popular song in the U.K. from artists worldwide, bringing its overall total to 9m. The #Maneskin hashtag had more than 3.7b views. “Bills, Bills, Bills” (Sony) by
Destiny’s Child took second place on the list, inspiring over 256k video creations across the period in the U.K.
“Just For Me” saw the biggest percentage increase in video creations in the U.K. across the seven weeks, despite arriving in late July. The track is nearing 1m creations, with over 987k videos currently using it.
