Have we really been listening to “Start Me Up” for 40 years? Turns out we have. Polydor/Interscope/UMe will celebrate that anniversary with a deluxe edition of The Rolling Stones’ Tattoo You on 10/22. Observances of the occasion start today with the release of “Living in the Heart of Love.”
Tattoo You was initially issued on 8/24/81. It's home to such faves as “Hang Fire” and “Waiting on a Friend.”
The new album package boasts remastering and nine previously unreleased tracks. Its Lost & Found disc includes covers of Jimmy Reed’s “Shame, Shame, Shame” and Dobie Gray's “Drift Away,” plus a reggae-tinged version of “Start Me Up." Deluxe editions will also include Still Life: Wembley Stadium 1982.
