U.K. CHARTS: OLIVIA'S "LICENSE" TO RULE

Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license” (Polydor) has earned a second week at the top of the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, while British rock outfit You Me at Six enter at #1 on albums with Suckapunch (Underdog/AWAL).

“drivers license” shifted 117k in chart sales this week, three times more than its closest rival, “Don’t Play” (Atlantic) by Anne-Marie, KSI and Digital Farm Animals, a new entry at #2.

With 13.7m streams, “drivers license” has the biggest one-week figure for a #1 single since Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” (Island) debuted at the top with 16.9m streams in January 2019.

Grande’s “34+35” rounds out this week’s Top 3 after rising eight places thanks to a new version of the song featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat released on 1/15.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, there are new highs for The Kid LAROI's “Without You” (RCA) at #5 and Meduza’s “Paradise” f/Dermot Kennedy (Island) at #6.

“Goosebumps” (Ministry of Sound) by producer HVME leaps 10 places to #15 following a new remix featuring the song’s original creator, Travis Scott. Tiesto’s “The Business” (Atlantic) leaps five places to #16, and Nathan Dawe & Little Mix’s “No Time for Tears” (Atlantic) breaks into the Top 20, up three to #19.

On the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, You Me At Six claims its second #1 on 85% physical sales, over half of which were purchased from independent record shops. Eminem’s 2019 chart-topper, Music to Be Murdered By (Polydor), flies 17 places to #3 following the CD release of its B-side collection.

Sleaford Mods scoop up their first-ever Top 5 album with Spare Ribs (Rough Trade), which debuts at #4, and Why Don’t We score their first U.K. Top 10 album with The Good Times and the Bad Ones (Atlantic) at #5.

Elsewhere, Drunk Tank Pink (Dead Oceans) by South London rockers Shame debuts at #8, and Zayn’s third solo album, Nobody Is Listening (RCA), makes a Top 20 debut at #17. Ashnikko enters at #19 with her debut mixtape, Demidevil (Parlophone).
