Machine Gun Kelly blasts his way to #1 at iTunes with his fifth studio album, Tickets to My Downfall (Bad Boy/Interscope) #1. While he’s #5 at Apple Music this flipover Friday, there’s one newcomer ahead of him.

Tickets opens behind Tory Lanez’s surprise drop, Daystar (One Umbrella), which is #3 early this morning. Kelly’s top song at Apple Music is “my ex’s best friend” f/blackbear, coming in at #18.

At iTunes, the Top 20 is packed with new titles, including an all-rookie Top 10.

Deftones’ ninth album Ohms (Reprise) sits at #2 ahead of the first Christmas release of the season, Carrie Underwood’s My Gift (Capitol Nashville).

Joji’s Nectar (88rising/12Tone) makes both lists, coming in at #4 in sales and #8 on the streaming side.

Granger Smith’s Country Things Vol. 1 (This Is Hit/Wheelhouse) hangs its hat at #5, Natalie Grant’s No Stranger (Curb) says hello to #6 and Super One—The 1st Album from SM/Capitol’s SuperM is #7.

Sufjan Stevens climbs to #8 with his eighth album The Ascension (Asthmatic Kitty). Melanie Martinez’s EP After School (Atlantic) rings in at #9—it’s #24 at Apple Music—and

KB closes out the Top 10 with His Glory Alone (HGA/Essential Sound).

Just outside the Top 10 are Warner’s expanded edition of Prince’s Sign O’ The Times and new titles from Sylvan Esso, Fleet Foxes, Lil Peep, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, The Neighbourhood and Diana Krall.

TikTok sensation Sarahbeth Taite claims the #1 slot at iTunes songs with her self-released “Long Way.”

Back at Apple Music, the deluxe edition of Bryson Tiller’s Trapsoul (RCA) is #8; Mozzy’s Occupational Hazard (Empire) is #9; and Fleet Foxes’ Shore (Anti) washes up at #33.
