ASCAP’S FALL AWARDS SEASON

ASCAP is gearing up for its 2020 awards season with the Christian, London, and Country Music Awards events this fall.

Starting in October, each virtual awards event will take over ASCAP’s social media channels (@ASCAP) with exclusive photos, performances and video acceptance speeches shared by top songwriters, composers and publishers.

The 2020 ASCAP Christian Music Awards kicks off the award ceremonies for the organization from 10/7-10/8, while the ASCAP London Music Awards take place from 10/21-10-22 and the ASCAP Country Music Awards runs from 11/9-11/12.

Earlier this year, ASCAP hosted its Pop, Screen, Latin and Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on social media, which are typically invite-only events. Posts were engaged with nearly 370k times and garnered over 7.2m social media impressions.

"As we saw in June and July, these virtual awards events give us a much-needed reason to smile, laugh and celebrate together during this difficult time," said ASCAP Chairman of the Board/President Paul Williams. " Our members are the heart and soul of ASCAP, and we look forward to honoring the outstanding contributions of our Christian, Country and London-based songwriters this fall.”

Each event will use #ASCAPAwards across all social media channels and will spotlight award show moments like Songwriter of the Year, Songwriter-Artist of the Year, Publisher of the Year and Song of the Year.
