Opening night of the Democratic National Convention included powerful speeches from Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders, plus music that included the pairing of Billy Porter and Stephen Stills.

Porter and Stills revisited the Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth,” Maggie Rogers went to the beach, Leon Bridges opted for a building rooftop and the Joe Biden campaign came up with a stirring new use of Bruce Springsteen’s “The Rising.”
