APPLE'S KIND OF COUNTRY

Apple is stepping into the music competition space with its first-ever competition series, My Kind of Country. The streamer will be partnering with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine for the country music talent contest, which will be Executive Produced by Witherspoon as well.

Hello Sunshine’s Head of Film & Television Lauren Neustadter and SVP of Unscripted Programming Cynthia Stockhammer will also Executive Produce the series alongside Sandbox Entertainment’s President/CEO Jason Owen, Masked Singer showrunner Izzie Pick Ibarra and Done + Dusted’s Katy Mullan and Melanie Fletcher.

Adam Blackstone, who’s worked with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Tim McGraw, will serve as the Musical Director on the series.

“I am beyond excited to share that @HelloSunshine will be partnering with @Apple to bring y’all it’s very first competition,” shared Witherspoon on Instagram. “Growing up in Nashville, Tennessee, Country music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been incredibly inspired by all artists who continue to blaze bold new trails and our hope is to discover musicians who are revolutionizing country music and help amplify their voices and unique stories.”

My Kind of Country marks the third collaboration between Apple TV+ and Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
