U.K. MIDWEEKS: DYLAN AT #1

Bob Dylan is on course for his ninth #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Rough and Rowdy Ways (Columbia). Over on singles, Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo is set for a big rise as “Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)” (Columbia) is up 18 places to #4.

Dylan leads the midweek chart by a ratio of more than 3:1 and is outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined on majority CD and download sales.

Neil Young is on track to debut at #2 with the previously unreleased 1975 sessions Homegrown (Silver Bow), which is this week’s bestseller so far on vinyl. Phoebe Bridgers is on course for her first U.K. Top 10 with her second album, Punisher (Dead Oceans), at #3, and Lamb of God could claim their second with their self-titled 10th studio album (Nuclear Blast) at #7.

Following her death last week at 103, Dame Vera Lynn’s 100 (Decca) is currently back in the Top 10 at #10.

Released on picture disc vinyl this past week, David Bowie’s classic Space Oddity (Parlophone) looks to return to the Top 40 for the first time since 1973 and is currently #17.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Rockstar” (Polydor) by DaBaby f/Roddy Ricch is heading for a sixth week at #1 with a lead of 1k sales.

Burning” (GRM Records) from British rapper M Huncho is set to be this week’s highest new entry at #15, while Ava Max could land her third Top 20 song with “Kings & Queens” (Atlantic) rising six places to #20.
