HONORING AHMAUD ARBERY

Ahmaud Arbery would have turned 26 on Friday had this tragedy not happened. He loved to run so to honor his memory on his birthday his football coach, Jason Vaughn, called on people to run 2.23 miles under #IRunWithMaud, the distance being symbolic of the date of his murder on 2/23. "That's been our logo on our darkest days," Vaughn said. "I run with Maud and I run with his endurance and his strength."

The case has naturally generated outrage across social media as well and once again highlighted the brutal inequality that perverts our criminal justice system. Caroline head Jacqueline Saturn and Lenny Kravitz have participated along with the tens of thousands of others across the country.
