RODNEY JERKINS ASSEMBLES SUPERGROUP FOR CHARITY

In collaboration with RCA Inspiration, hitmaking producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins has assembled a supergroup, The Good News, for a charity single.

On "Come Together," Kirk Franklin, Lecrae, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Le'Andria Johnson, Mary Mary, Tim Bowman Jr., Joy Enriquez, Shelby 5, Karen Clark and Kierra Sheard, Kelontae Gavin and Jac Ross lend their voices to Jerkins' production for a charity single benefiting MusiCares' COVID-19 Relief Fund and Compassion International.

The charity single was written by Jerkins in collaboration with the late LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, Jazz Nixon, and Lecrae. Collectively, the talent featured in The Good News combine for over 35 Grammy wins and 125 nominations.

Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins says: “With all that’s going on in our world, I felt it was time to give back by going back to my gospel roots. In these times of social distancing, I believe through God, love, family, and music we can still come together.”

Phil Thornton, SVP and GM of RCA Inspiration, added, “We are glad to be able to come together, in partnering with the mega-talents of Rodney Jerkins and The Good News artists that have united to release this inspiring tune. We are thankful that we can continue helping our neighbors and families across the world in supporting these two charities, who’ve been providing vital aid serving the immediate needs of these communities on the ground in this crisis.”
